What the sign says
Permitted width in metres, load included. The sign protects a narrow spot: an archway, a gallery, a structure jutting over the road.
The exam trap
As with maximum height, the measurement covers the loaded vehicle. Knowing your outfit's dimensions is part of the job: there is no tolerance.
