No left turn
Regulatory signsSign no. 2.43OSR art. 25
What the sign says
Turning left at the place indicated is forbidden — the usual way to stop a stream of traffic cutting across oncoming vehicles.
The exam trap
Banning a turn does not ban a U-turn, and banning a U-turn does not ban turning: two separate signs, and the exam likes to put them side by side.

Signs and road markings
The signs are the official depictions by the Federal Roads Office, from the annexes of the Signalling Ordinance (SR 741.21): official works, unprotected under Art. 5 of the Copyright Act. The explanations, by contrast, are written from federal law — never taken from a third-party catalogue.
