Dead end with exceptions
Information signsSign no. 4.09.1OSR art. 46
What the sign says
The road has no through route for vehicles but leads onto a footpath or cycle track, shown by symbols added to the sign.
The exam trap
A plain dead-end sign announces no way out at all: driving in means turning round or reversing back out.

Signs and road markings
The signs are the official depictions by the Federal Roads Office, from the annexes of the Signalling Ordinance (SR 741.21): official works, unprotected under Art. 5 of the Copyright Act. The explanations, by contrast, are written from federal law — never taken from a third-party catalogue.
